Community
We are a socially responsible business, so naturally we have a special
interest in lending a helping hand to the communities that we serve.
We recognize that many who will be part of our future workforce are now children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and struggle financially and socially to achieve their full potential in life. Our commitment to the community is two fold.
To work with children who are disadvantaged, primarily those who are
highly at risk including those who are in gangs.
To advocate for victims of domestic violence and help adult victims break the cycle of violence and provide a safe and secure environment for their children
We fulfill these responsibilities in the following ways:
» Grants
We have written grants to secure funding for programs supporting highly at risk teens and for a charter school, with curricula addressing technical skills, entry-level job competencies, and college-bound opportunities.
» Sweat Equity
We have extensive volunteer hours as legal advocates for victims for domestic violence. Tasks include appearing in court to represent victims, identifying community support systems and developing training programs. We work with teen mentor programs that provide one-on-one emotional support, structure and training to troubled teens and their family.
» Leadership Development
Our executive leadership team and associates provide support in the areas of workforce readiness, health management, financial responsibilities, and change management. We demonstrate our commitment by developing and presenting leadership training programs for volunteers of domestic violence organizations and for highly at risk teens, including those in gangs. Additionally our executive leadership has demonstrated their commitment by serving on various volunteer boards, including participating as a board member and founder for a Charter School for highly at risk teens.
» In-Kind Donation and Services
We have volunteered time and resources to natural disaster victims. As an advocate of small business development, we offer our small business partners ongoing subject matter expertise pro-bono.
